The Modern Sonic Dash+ Engine

MSD+

The Modern Sonic Dash+ Engine is an opensource engine developed by The True Power of Teamwork and is an updated “modern” version of the regular Sonic Dash engine made for Game Maker. As this is opensource, you are allowed to use this engine for your own fan game.

NOTE: We originally forgot to add the source file, this was done by accident, as I(Teamwork), wasn’t here and forgot to put the source in the zip. So Bartman wasn’t able to post the source until I got back. The download link has now been fixed. Thank you for your patience. – TruePowerofTeamwork

We will be updating the engine with new features shortly, like a new camera system that was requested in the comments.

There is no gmk for this engine because Teamwork didn’t make the page, I did. This was because he had to leave for a while and still hasn’t come back, meaning he did not provide me with the gmk. We will have a gmk ready as soon as possible.

No it isn’t, that’s for version 1.0; we’re missing a release for 1.1.7, which is the version shown here.

Hey TechoKami, sorry about the inconvenience, it is supposed to be open-source, as I gave my friends the gmk, and told them to include an EXE, as I didn’t have time to do so myself. I will post a link to the gmk in a comment once I have access to my main computer. I’ve been away for the past month, and only have a few cases where I can use the internet. I’m very sorry about this. It’ll be fixed as soon as possible. :)

Edit: Just realized the missing gmk was my fault, I didn’t include it in the zip.

I apologize for this, my friends posted the engine for me, as I’m away. I told them to include an EXE and gmk(Game Maker 8.0 source file). I will inform them once I get on Skype. Sorry about the inconvenience. If you need the engine sooner, you have my permission to decompile the engine, but when it’s decompiled some organizations such as folders will be removed as they are not stored on the EXE.. Thank you for your patience. :)

Started as Tails on the level all the way to the left, and the game closed.

Can you give some more details? I can’t seem to replicate it on my version.

I Absolutely love this engine! I’m even using this for my own game, and with this being made in the game maker engine! MY gosh!

Also, I don’t know what’s up with all these Sonic game maker engine but seriously.. THE CAMERA IS TOO CLOSE!

It’s a great engine but when you’re moving that fast you need to be able to see what’s in front of you. The camera should pan to the right as you go faster.

Every link I can find for the original Sonic Dash engine redirects to the Sonic Time Twisted page on Sonic Strike with an Error 404 File Not Found. Is there some what I can still get original Sonic Dash engine?
